1, strong chemical stability. Cubic boron nitride is chemically inert material and will not react with iron group materials at 1200~1300℃. In addition, the bonding and diffusion effect of cubic boron nitride with various materials is much smaller than that of cemented carbide, especially suitable for processing iron and steel materials.

2, high hardness and good wear resistance. The friction coefficient between CBN and different materials is between 0.1 and 0.3, which is much smaller than that of cemented carbide, so it is beneficial to improve the surface quality of processed materials. The grain hardness of cubic boron nitride is up to HV8000~9000, which is much higher than that of cemented carbide and ceramics, so it has more advantages in processing high hardness materials.

3, high thermal stability. Even under the high temperature of 1200℃, cubic boron nitride can still maintain good thermal stability, the heat resistance of diamond is almost twice higher than that of diamond, so there is no fear of high temperature produced by high speed cutting, can be used than carbide tool 3~5 times higher speed to cut.

4, good thermal conductivity.
